We are creating an Arts and Cultural district through collaborative revitalization.

The Five Points Cultural Commission is excited to announce plans to redevelop the commercial corridor of the Five Points area in downtown Montgomery into an Arts and Cultural District. In 2015, the project was awarded a grant from ArtPlace America as one of 38 grantees out of 1,300 applications across the nation.  A local foundation matched that funding. The Commission has acquired five properties, including three commercial buildings on Goldthwaite Street, and will be renovating them into six to nine restaurant and retail spaces to serve the surrounding neighborhoods and community. Demolition has begun and construction will begin in the Summer of 2016!
